The Goal of Standing Firm Institute is to equip Christians of all ages with a solid foundation and ready defense against skeptics and critics of the Christian faith--Helping them to know what they believe and why.

We offer practical training through books, curriculum, seminars and workshops for churches, home school support groups, high schools and Christian colleges.

Guest speakers are also available. Engagements can be tailored to specific topics dealing with Christianity and popular culture.

Standing Firm is a handbook dealing with the most common challenges to the Christian faith; written in (catechism) question and answer format. Standing Firm is somewhat different than a traditional book- in that it ends each chapter with 4-5 Suggested Memory Statements the reader is encouraged to commit to memory.

Some chapters will be a combination of Scripture verses and memory statements taken from the chapter; and well known authors are cited, who have condensed an issue to a sentence that can be memorized as a clear response to the challenge.

The goal of this handbook is to draw from leading theologians and Christian philosophers, and use quotes from them- summarizing an issue, and then turning it into a memory statement, just as Christians are encouraged to do with Scripture. This way, even if you don't have time to read many books on the various challenges to Christianity, you've committed various verses and statements to memory in order to respond to these most common challenges to your faith.

Here are a few examples:

From Chapter 2- The Existence of God:

"The universe had a beginning. Anything that has a beginning must have been cause by something else. Therefore, the universe was caused by something else, and this cause was God."

From Chapter 3- The Reliability of the Bible:

'It is God who determined which books were to be included in the Bible. Man merely discovered or recognized which writings were inspired by God."

From Chapter 6- The Problem of Evil:

"The only way God could annihilate all evil is to annihilate freedom. But to annihilate freedom would to annihilate the very condition of our humanness."
